About Me

I grew up in Amarillo, Texas. I was a tennis player and a gymnast. I graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Marketing & Management. I spent all my summers working at Kanakuk Kamps in Branson, Missouri. After college, I moved to Arizona. My love for children inspired me to pursue my education degree. I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Masters in Elementary Education.

Computers is a new position for me this year.  I've been teaching at Sonoran Sky off and on since 1994.  Most recently, I taught 6th grade for three years.  I have also taught 2nd and 3rd grade.

I have been married to my husband Mark for 21 years.  We have 2 children:  Abi is 16 years old, and Sam is 14 years old.  Both kids attended Sonoran Sky and DSMS. They now attend Horizon High School and play lacrosse.

Things I love: friends and family, taking pictures, holding babies, sunshine, good movies, great books, exercise, learning, teaching, chips & salsa, peanut butter & chocolate, music, trips to texas, trips to Pinetop, trips to the beach, and dogs!
